Time

What is there never enough of
How ever hard you try
Even though you may get up early
Those hours still go rushing by.
Time!

There’s always so many jobs to do
No time to stand and think
From making beds and hovering
And there are dishes in the sink.
Time!

Even in this push button age
There are things machines can’t do
From getting kids out of bed in the morning or taking them to the zoo
Time!

We rush about from chore to chore
Forever on the go
Get worked up if we forget a job
But really, who would know.
Time!

If you could put it in a jar
And sell it on the net
You’d never have to work again
For a mint you’d make I bet!
For time!
