Stuff

With me and my stuff, my family despair
For my stuff is just about everywhere.
It’s in the bedroom and in the hall
On every surface and on the wall.
I’ve even a special room, all to myself
My husband put up a very big shelf
Upon which sits my Teddy Bear collection
Gathered over the years with great affection.
Mind this has spread at quite a pace
And now I’m fast running out of space.
But I can’t help it, I love my stuff
And I feel I’ve never quite got enough,
I love a charity shop or a Sunday car boot
Which is where I often find my loot.
The minimalist movement I can’t understand
I need my stuff all close at hand.
So the family sigh and shake their heads.
As another Teddy lands on the bed.
They know that it’s no good getting tough
‘Cause I can’t help it, I LOVE MY STUFF!
