Pymore Goat writes... Is it just me, or is anyone else somewhat frustrated by the very dull and predictable names of the main streets in Bridport? North,South, East & West. Hardly imaginative are they?
May I suggest some thought is put to presenting the Town Council with alternative titles?
...it's a shame the opticians closed down next to Seymour Place...

I have always been amused by the street name of 'Fore Place' in Beaminster. Considering the Bell Tower maybe Bucky Doo could be renamed 'Bell End', or considering the public toilets South Street could possibly be 'Messy Bottom'.

Perhaps something to do with the cordage industry; Noose Street, Dagger Road, Hemp Street? or just swap the existing ones around so grockles wanting to go to West Bay end up in Poundbury...

East and West St to become Charity Mile (on count of the number of charity shops). I like the cordage (well hemp) connection so lets go with North St=Northern Lights and South St=Skunk St Bucky Do could be The bong
