Further to their Poland trip (see COW BOYS & ENGINES), Lyndon Norman has come up with another little plan: Riding on the popularity of the film “300”. He plans to assemble 300 Spartans for New Years Eve. Quite what he’ll do with them once assembled, we don't know (readers suggestions?)
Lynden and his cohorts have a website bridportspartans.co.uk where you can find out more and they have also set up a facebook group “Bridport Spartans”. Signing up forms are available in No10.
Start doing sit ups, Prepare for glory! and watch this space.

Bridport people do not need to be told, or even suggested to? what to wear at fancy dress do's ie Haloween and New Years Eve. It is one of the things that we do and have done exceptionally well for eons. I suggest taking the Spartan idea and moving it to Dorchester or Blandford both of which have a more Roman type feel to them, assuming that the spartans were romans and if the wern't then taking the idea to the Spar shop.
