On the 21st and 22nd July at West Bay there is the annual Jurassic Open Boat Festival, sponsored by Atlantic Fishers. This boat competition is open to all size of boats, or if you do not have your own boat you can book a place on one of the charter boats. The competition is fished over two days but do not worry if you can only fish one day of the two as there are prizes for each day & for the overall winner of the two days.
