JUNK MAIL E-mail

...and another thing... Does everyone get as much unwanted mail as I do.
I asked the Post Office to stop delivering it - but I still get loads I don't want.
We need to start a campaign in Bridport.
What I am going to do from now on is stick all back in the post box once a week and let the Post Office decide what to do with it. Tough luck if you have letters to post. So come on everyone lets start to stop the waste of paper, and give it back to those that posted it through our doors. Any better ideas?

Delboy has returned...

Delboy see www.mpsonline.org.uk But bear in mind our posties get paid for each piace of junk mail they deliver.

My father (who was a printer) always said that junk mail kept printers in work. Just make sure you recycle the junk!

I don't think the amount of junk mail actually changes what they get paid. The money goes to the post office, but is not passed on to the poor slob delivering the letters. I for one applaud Delboy's childish and futile suggestion. Maybe we could organise an event where we have a 'burning' in Bucky Doo.

as an ex royal mail employee, let me just educate a little over the issue of junk mail yes, draino the postie gets paid pennies extra for delivering the crap each week, but bear in mind he/she has NO choice over the matter, if he/she fails to deliver to just one address on his/her route, he/she can be sacked for fraud, because they were paid to deliver to evry house,so, bearing this in mind here,s another thought, if you put in in the postbox to send it back, it just means even MORE work for the sadi postie, as he/she will have to collect it from the box, and then it has to be sorted from the normal mail etc etc., so, whilst your spleen is being vented, you are increasing the workload of your local post people. The best thing to do, is bag it up over a couple of weeks and then actually TAKE it along to the sorting office and have words with the management!(in the post office there is a one word oxymoron, wanna know what it is? ""manger"" haha they have no clue what to do thats why Royal Mail is so deep in mire at present, the managers, they dont manage! Officially, there is a department in royal mail you can ask specifically NOT to have junk mail put through your door, but of course Royal Mail dont advertise this , but if you insist they will tell you how to stop it, there thats my advice on junkmail if it helps, but it doesnt help your ""overloaded already"" postie,ok?

Delboy. If you don't want junk mail then board up your letter box. And get a life whilst you're at it.
