Local internet TV service ASPpodTV are seeking creative video makers of all ages and abilities to produce short video items for airing on its local internet tv service. Material can be serious or humorous and on any subject of local interest including the local town and services, the environment, local characters, sport, news etc.. Submissions should be approximately four to five minutes long with selected items being aired on its home channel page as monthly 'Podpieces'.
Launched at the beginning of March this year and covering the Bridport, Yeovil, Dorchester and Weymouth areas ASPpod.TV has been steadily growing in its content and receiving growing support from local viewers and organisations. The 'station' has several channels on a variety of subjects including sport and leisure, music, art and local news. In addition, there is a 'what's on' local band section which, besides giving information on coming gigs, is being developed to enable viewers to click and play a short video promo of local performers. Also in the early stages of development is a sport and active leisure online directory which will include a facility to view video clips and source information on sports clubs, sports facilities, and service providers in the area.
