wishes of the victims, and not prejudice any ongoing investigations these will
not be reported.

Criminal damage

Over the weekend there were a number of criminal damages caused in and around the area. The most significant was a 5 x 5 ft plate glass window at A. G Down, funeral directors, South Street. The front window of the shop was smashed during the early hours of Sunday 15th April. The noise from this damage would have been loud enough to awaken people from their sleep.

Arrests

Over the same period 4 arrests were made:

2 x common assault

If you have any information regarding the above offences or any other crimes, then please come forward and help us with our enquiries:  it may be your evidence, which successfully secures a conviction.  Instead of accepting that crime is part of the Bridport society, let’s give the courts the facts and allow them to decide.
Contact the police station direct, or speak to Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111 – all calls will be treated in confidence
