Over the last seven days there has been several reports relating to youths climbing into or on disused and privately owned garages in the North Allington area. It is important that any activity of this type is reported, as it occurs to prevent any damage to property. Or to prevent injury to the individuals who are involved. I ask that if you are the owner or have access to these type of property you takes steps to secure them and deter this activity where possible.
Another area was in the Rax lane part of town, where youths had gained access to a building site late at night. This was not only an annoyance to residents, but is exceptionally dangerous for any who enter the site and parents and or guardians should be aware of what their children are doing late out late at night, and to take responsibility for them or ensure adequate and appropriate adult supervision is available to ensure the children’s safety. Arrests Over the same period 10 arrests were made: 3 x assault, grievous bodily harm 2 x assault, actual bodily harm 3 x disorderly behaviour 1 x making threats to kill 1 x criminal damage If you have any information regarding the above offences or any other crimes, then please come forward and help us with our enquiries: it may be your evidence, which successfully secures a conviction. Instead of accepting that crime is part of the Bridport society, let’s give the courts the facts and allow them to decide.
