Hello all, I Would just like to comment on some of the comments in various places on Bridport Radio. Fair play to have a fit about what was written in the Telegraph or whatever but I think that when comments are written by 'the other side' then why does it have to be Met with a hail of abuse? I have written several comments on different subjects and while not thick I am not as literate as some or as well informed. Two people in particular seem to delight in making nasty comments.one will know 'exactly' who you are. I like the look and feel of this site as it is by local people (and newcomers who have bothered to look) and very tongue in cheek. Vent your spleen by all means but do not get personal. Thanks for all the fun and good points that have got me thinking.

I agree and I try to keep personal attacks out of the comments - One should be able to state ones point of view without abusing those they disagree with. We will allow a healthy debate - a bun fight is okay but mud slinging is not.

OK OK OK. I'm not proud of my verbal destruction of Realworld. For fear of any really good points that I make being clouded by my tone, I'll keep my rage in check from now on. ...or at least until the next red mist... Nurse?! Nurse!?

You bunch of do-gooder whimpish, apologisers. I can't believe what I am reading, oooh shall we all have a group hug?? I am frothing up and fuming with indignant and furious rage. I agree that ""personal"" abuse is uncalled for, however as it is an anonymous site I don't know who any-one is so it can hardly be described as ""personal"", can it? This is just jousting with keyboards, no-one gets hurt and if the opinions posted get shot to ribbons then good, yahoo, what a laugh, no blood just a frustrated tap on the keyboard and hey presto you are back in the fray. ""Gid aarn son'er get stuck in there"" Ed if you let the wooly liberals start whinging about someone who might have been ""beastly"" to them and ""upset them a bit"" then you had just as well close the site. Have the meek and easily offended considered the fact that there may well be a bit of a wind up going on and that all opinions posted may not be what they appear to be. And another thing, you don't post up a point that is likely to provoke a heated response and then go running home to mummy or tell the teacher because some people voiced their dislike of your position in a way not of your liking. Ya Wuss

Dear Nurse Scathing are you one of those matronly type nurses who seem aloof and unobtainable dsepite the allure of your uniform or are you the sort of Anne Summers uniform type nurse who is always ready to help out with an unexplained swelling? I think we should be told Nurse? NURSE? ________________________ Mr Rustic - I suppose I am a little from column A and a little from column B, and I suppose you are the sort of patient who loves to hear the snap of a latex glove - NS

I have been accused of all sorts of things...(by you too) and i dont care.. my face? I dont mind it for I go behind it its the people in front get the jar..

I don't know Tuzo am I?Depends who you talk to!Yes,to me it does matter when I feel belittled as I don't think people have the right to make judgements like that.I have done it too but hopefully I learn by my mistakes.

AHAHAHA - Rosie/Tuzo - Stop it - life is far too important to take seriously - just drop it and start talking about something relevant, maybe even something positive- this site is supposed to be a community builder - You may have something in common - and if you still want to fight then - get yore mitts on and lets have it out physical style (with optional babyoil and bird seed)- with the first BridportRadio Fight Night!

Rosie06 your loving thoughts are well received and help me sleep with a contented, if not slightly rude, smile on my face. Just to clarify a couple of points though, I can never recall anyone saying or insinuating that they thought you were thick and for the record you don't come across as being thick. You come across as a person with opinions and beliefs that have been thought through and you are happy to debate them, feisty maybe but not thick. Second point, being abusive to someone or trashing someone’s point on cyberspace is not the same as punching someone in the gob because you don't like the look of them. Not even remotely close. Intimidation by physical violence is an unacceptable face of modern society that unfortunately is all too prevalent and is material for another wider debate into the moral bankruptcy of our society. Having an anonymous dig on a well tended site like BR is where the pen (keyboard) is mightier than the sword (punch in the gob) and anyone who can form an argument and type at the same time is free to get stuck in. When I was younger I had misheard the quote and thought it said that the ""penis was mightier than the sword"", which I am sure contributed to me loosing many playground fights.
