The Oscar nominated film Little Miss Sunshine (15) is screening at Bridport Arts Centre on Thursday 8 March at 7.45pm

Indie comedy drama Little Miss Sunshine radiates warmth and charm, despite tackling death and dysfunction. Greg Kinnear is wonderful as the success-obsessed patriarch piling his family into their VW van and making the road trip to California so his daughter can take part in a junior beauty pageant.

A runaway hit at the Sundance Film Festival, where it received standing ovations, the film strikes a nerve with everyone who’s ever been amazed by how their muddled families seem to make it after all.
