Crippled container ship MSC Napoli, abandoned by its crew during violent storms in the English Channel, has been run aground off Branscome, Devon to stop it sinking. The ship, with wide cracks on both sides and listing heavily has been shedding containers full of goods from shampoo to BMW motorcycles all up the Jurassic Coast, this reporter went down The Bay and found nothing but oil covered, biscuits (for dogs, cats and humans).

It is thought that up to 200 tonnes of oil may have leaked from a fuel tank. Efforts are now underway to keep the oil from reaching the shore. Salvage crews are working to pump the remaining fuel oil off. While locals up and down the coast are looking for treasure from the containers that have gone overboard. Do be advised that you are legally required to declare any booty you may find.
