Yvonne Angela Edwards (nee Webb) was born in Ealing in 1949. She began painting and drawing at an early age, encouraged by her Father and Grandmother. Brought up in High Wycombe the Webb family moved to Weymouth when Yvonne was 11 years old. After leaving school Yvonne attended Bournemouth Art College where she studied Graphic Design before moving to Bridport where she learned silk screen printing. Yvonne moved back to Weymouth after 10 years to bring up a family, continuing to paint for pleasure and for private commissions. She was later employed as a graphic designer for a local printing firm where she learned all the sides of four colour film processing and computer graphics Throughout this period she continued to paint and produce art of various media.
Opening a Gallery in Weymouth provided her with the opportunity to paint professionally. Having built a reputation for her watercolour portrayals of local scenes she has now moved into painting abstracts and collage.
