Established 1974 - Still trading after all these years!
Independent Record Shops are closing all over the country faced as they are with unfair competition from multi-national baked bean purveyors and offshore wholesalers - but somehow we keep going. We have managed to survive by keeping in touch with our customers and diversifying the range of products we stock. We are still primarily a CD shop and we pride ourselves in the range of CDs we stock, from Classical to Jazz, from Folk to Rock, and all points in between. We have established a reputation throughout the region for being able to get just about anything as long as it has been released on CD or DVD. However, in today's trading environment that isn't enough to survive on so we have looked around to see what is missing from the town. As long as it is complementary to our core business - MUSIC - then we'll try it out. We have now started stocking guitars and related accessories thereby saving muso's a carbon-spewing trip to Dorchester, Weymouth or Yeovil. We are also starting to build up a range of radios (digital and analogue), CD players, amps, speakers and hopefully soon MP3 players. But if there's anything we're missing then LET US KNOW!
