POLICE THANKS E-mail

Dear Editor,

I would like to thank everyone in Bridport who supported the Police Charity Ball, held on Friday November 17th at Freshwater Holiday Park.  I think everyone present would agree what a fantastic evening this was.

Over 180 people danced the night away to fabulous music from local band The Sidekicks, in a venue transformed by video projections and illuminated flags to create a real party atmosphere.

Perhaps the highlight of the evening for some was an animated video of the local constabulary being put through their paces on the dancefloor! (see vid here) However, I’d personally like to thank all those who donated prizes for the auction and raffle, which included some fantastic celebrity endorsed items which helped us to raise over £1000 for local charities and other good causes.

Overall, the Ball was a great community event, and I’d like once again to thank everyone who came along and joined in the fun.

Next year’s ball will be Saturday November 24th, so get the date in your diary now!

Yours sincerely,

Scott McGregor.
Community Beat Officer
