BRIDDERS ON TV E-mail

ImageWe are growing excited by the increasin use of Bridport in TV and the media, why only the other day I was watching a Divvy Dee called Confetti (starring Tim from the office) and in it a couple of nerdy characters mentioned Bridders in a slightly derogatory fashion, we are all aware of West Bay as the setting for harbour lights and Huge Fearless Whitingsthorpe eating all of our road kill live on Channel 4, but can you recall any other incidences of Bridport in the movies or the TV? Was an episode of The Professionals filmed in Gundry Lane, are the rumours of Woody Allen scouring the area for locations true? Is Deal or No Deal recorded live at DaVinci's? Join in with your TV and Bridderwood memories and rumours and win a shiny new Bridport Radio MikkiMug (limited amount left)

Bridport on TV and in Movies

1. Confetti (Starring Tim from the Office (real name?) )

2. Harbour Lights (Starring wicksee (real name?))

3. Sky news (Bus stop frackarse)

4. Martin Cloones (probably)

5. World cup (nets)

6. Huge feraless Thingameebobajig

7. The Goodies filmed some guff at Parnham (eckythump) and mebbe in Bridders (many moons ago)

A week or so ago I was watching a tribute program to the goodies. There was a sketch filmed in Beaminster square.

West Bay's East Beach was used in the opening titles of 'The Rise & Fall of Reginald Perrin'

The Goodies filmed in Bridders using the stone wall in the South Street car park of what used to be The Volunteer Inn. They made lots of smoke pretending it was fog and climbed up ladders. This was in the late 1970s so probably the same time as Parnham.

It's next to the village of 'Rack'.

It was the same time as Parnham - does anyone remember the Goodies' Max Wall sketch filmed on what is now Bucky Doo? And what about the Dunlop Groundhog advert with Jackie Stewart shot on east pier?

what was that series called....wycleffs babies...rockliffs babies...well that featured bridport once. i am sure emerdale is filmed at pymore (which is sort of bridders. also, there is a scene in Troy where they first land on the beach (you know where pitts boat speeds ahead and lands before the king dude lands.) well that is really westbay. and then there is computer games... Grand theft auto III was originally based around Bridport. The popular online game called Runescape features a few villages that are laid out the same as westbay, burton and eype. ok so i have a good imagination, but one of the above is true...which is it? The Stretchy One

Stretchy Nuts give us the answer, which of your cock and bukk claims is true? I reckon it must be Runescape because it is the most unremarkable.
