"I’ve Got My Tooth In My Hand!" The war cry from a stripy topped chav after playing a major part in starting a 12 person brawl on East St Friday. His small sports topped accomplice and their collection of underage friends slunk off as the police car approached 20 minutes after this resident called. The one police sergeant in attendance spoke to an onlooker as one group departed for the oak.
In the meantime, girls, and boys attempted to knock the crap out of each other, shirts ripped off backs, feet found heads, punches and scratches and wounds and bruises. A minor disagreement over who said what to whom, followed by a lengthy drunken conversation that wound up into a brawl when a little drunken man started telling his opponents to “f*** off”, until eventually he was pushed over and it all kicked off. So who is serving these underage children? Where is the police presence on Friday and Saturday nights? Is it the policy to let it all blow over? Because it won’t. These little children left a trail of blood and teeth on the same site as the recent stabbing, and no doubt fuelled further reprisals and counter attacks which will take place in the weeks and months to come. The cctv installed for our security, that was so proudly unveiled at great expense may have been on and could conceivably shed some light on who these young folk are, and maybe reflect on their behaviour… yeah right. Then again, they may not be so proud of themselves if this were made public and their family names printed in the local rag.
The fast food joint take away which the perpetrators strolled in and out of may also have some footage. But it seems unlikely that this ugly incident will be recorded anywhere of note except possibly in the dentists chair. Lucky no one had a knife. Ranga
