Got something you no longer need? Don't send it to Landfill, give it away! Recycle4Free.com is here to help Recyclers meet to exchange item's that would normally end up in Landfill. Whether it's a sofa, a washing machine, guitar, or an old pile of bricks simply send an e-mail offering it to members of Recycle4Free. It will prove an invaluable resource for everybody who wishes to Reduce, Re-use and Recycle.
Maybe you're looking for something yourself, respond to a member's offer, and you just might get it. After that, it's up to the person offering to decide who receives the gift and to set up a pickup time for passing on the item. Recycle 4 Free is the creation of Tim Beer who lives in the Marshwood Vale near Bettiscombe. In the spring of 2006 I came across a website whilst surfing one night which changed the way I look at waste that can be either Re-Used or Recycled and by doing so slow down the landfill. Since starting this scheme I have Recycled loads of stuff that would have otherwise been destined for the skip, including the complete contents of a 5 bedroom farmhouse which was being refurbished, this included a hand built kitchen made from solid wood, 2 bathroom suites, doors, carpets etc. I have now implemented a new network of websites across Dorset and Somerset to allow like minded individuals to do the same, to become part of this fantastic movement please visit the Hub of the Groups at www.recycle4free.com the groups can also be found in the Directory at www.recycle4free.com/directory |
