Britain is doing a good job of abolishing Toffs. Look at the disaster in France when all went to the Guillotine and they have not got their confidence back as a nation ever since. Look at the disaster in Russia when again it went too far, not only the Toffs were executed, but also all the peasants (Kulaks) and middle classes. Now they have real trouble rebuilding a market system as everyone has forgotten how to fend for themselves.
Britain has a slow process of weeding out Toffs who are no good. It is called the Public Schools. While you can afford it you waste all your money and more in sending your children there. They come out speaking in funny voices and can be discriminated against by everyone else. The Toff system is not a bad one for regulating itself.
Sue Farrant is standing for the Lib Dems at this General Election and the Liberals (as they have for 100s of years) are standing for gradual reform of the Toffs.

I have to say I may have to follow Billy Bragg and swallow my Socialist ideals and vote Lib Dem....can't have another term of LetwinD can we? If you went to Colfox you can't surely vote Tory?? (unless your parents bought a Council house or shares in one of the energy suppliers!).

Well goccibos, you went to Colfox School and you're not a tory, what can I say? In my time at Colfox (1964 to 1968) most, if not all the teachers were Tory's. Standards were a lot higher then, we all wore blazers and ties in those days. That in contrast with todays bunch of scruffy individuals, also reflected in the general downward spiral of the town. If you wish to follow Billy Bragg, thats your perogative, good luck, you'll need it. There are losers (socialists), and there are the winners (tories). We all have a choice, your future is in your hands, are you a 'loser' or are you a 'winner'.
