The activity of Recycling Waste and Scrap has just been named and shamed in the Health and Safety Executives latest statistics as having the highest rate of fatal injuries of any industrial activity in Great Britain. Indeed at 18.57 deaths per 100,000 employees it is 27 times higher than the National Average. You can of course see all this on the HSE's website. Just thought you'd like to know and we expect all those people who think they are saving the planet by Recycling at the Co-op and Morrisons would like to know how they are helping to control population growth at the same time!
