DAY OF THE BADGER E-mail

ImageThe Day of the Badger is finally upon us!  “What’s he talking about?” I hear you ask, well I'll tell you; our favourite Dorset band Who’s Afear’d have produced a new CD entitled The Day of the Badger which is full of hilarious songs. It is packed in a delightfully illustrated CD and case and is full of old songs with new lyrics for you to sing and dance to.

Songs include:

West Country Girls: a Beach Boys cover that is sure to have you crying with laughter.

ImageDanish Tundra: a Men at Work cover that spews elements of ‘I come from a land down under’ but is in fact in its own right a unique song that tells a tale of one of the band members…no prizes if you guess who mind.

Mr Sandbanks:  A classic from The Chordettes that now features our very own blight which is situated in Poole…Mr Sandbanks.

Scrumpy Drinker:  this is an old Talking Heads track that to be honest with you sounds better now…ooo aaarr scrumpy drinker.

ImageThere are also a few tracks that have only ever been heard live including Borderline (Not Madonna but the 1974 Dorset border change) and Cider Riot (I want a pint!) Joe Strummer would be proud.

Do not under estimate the power of the dark apple people, this new album is as good a quality as any shop bought album and if you want to purchase it, it wont cost you 15 quid either. A snap at 8 pounds for an original copy of this album is a real bargain. email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it for details on how to purchase this future classic or come along to the Ropemakers on 26th September to listen to them play and buy your copy.

Included in the album is “All Along the Esplanade” (far Corfe mix) and I tell you something right now…IT ROCKS.

Overview in general
ImageStraight away the listener will notice a slight tingling behind your eye’s, don’t worry this is completely natural. Just as Hawkwind used sonic attacks, Who’s Afear’d have launched a wurzle attack right on your frontal lobe’s with a professional sounding crispy clear tribute to the one…the only…Dorset.

If you have heard them live then trust me you want a copy of this…remember The Day of the Badger is upon us!
