Crimes of note recently reported include

• Overnight Sunday May 11th a Mercedes was broken into and items stolen from within whilst it was parked in South Street.

• In the early hours of Saturday May 10th criminal damage occurred in West Street and South Street [See below].

• At about 4pm Thursday May 8th two male shoplifters stole an aquarium pump valued at approximately £20 from Groves The Nursery.

• At 2pm on Thursday 8th May elderly resident in the Puncknowle area was victim to a burglary. A male tricked her after stating a nearby tree needed work. Once the male was inside the property valuables were stolen.

I have tried on numerous occasions to have a red 'bAt pHoNe' installed in Comissioner Gorden's office in Bridport Police Station. But they keep stalling saying there is no Comissioner Gordon there!!! What's THAT all about?!?

Bridport has such pointless shoplifters, an aquarium pump? What next? a hostess trolley? One placemat? A brown cardigan? Welcome to another episode of Dorset's Dumbest Criminals!

bubbaphatass they are stealing to order and with such an elderly population there is no use stealing a PS3 or MP3 players, a water pump, brown jumper and hostess trolley are just perfect.

Maybe the shoplifters are old? I can imagine the chase down South Street between portly local police and the mobility scooter getaway vehicle, Whip Wop headlines " Saga yobs in water pump hiest". Makes me glad I moved!

I happened to come across a video on you tube, featuring the people responsible for keeping order in this frontier town, dancing like monkeys for peanuts to the music of the Bee-Gees (just search for bridport dancing police on you tube).
It will be well worth the effort, I am sure I saw PC Scott McGregor in the background twirling his baton.

Why do police spend valuable police time investigating the dissappearance of garden ornaments and knocked off car wing mirrors etc., at the expense of dealing with real crime i.e., domestic violence, yobs treating their ASBOS as some sort of medal of honour, and the drunkards frightening normal people on a night out getting into brawls and peeing in the street etc. etc., The average sun reading neanderthal is a far worse threat to society than the so called druggies in this town.

Are the crimes for this week all the work of one person on a bender? We need to be told as here is what I think is the sequence of events that occurred.
1 Possession / supply class A controlled drugs;- Had a snort of white powdered substance before going out.
2 Assault actual bodily harm;- Find out it is a bit stronger than first thought and when partner suggests you are wasting your life, give them a slap.
3 Breaching bail conditions:- Go out even though the ABSO and tagging say you are under curfew.
4 Dangerous driving;- Take partners car and drive it like its stolen from H Block to town
5 Making threats to kill;- After a few pints of stella and vodka redbulls get upset because someone looked at you and then tell them you are going to kill them and stab them and shoot them etc...
6 Detained under the mental health act;- .Justice, or as close to it as is available, is done.
