On Saturday, May 17th at 8.00pm at the Eype Centre for the Arts - The Y’Strel’s Band - a collection of singers and musicians coming together to tell their stories in an eclectic mix of material mainly from Wessex but also from the rest of the British Isles. All vocalists, the four musicians are John Bullock (guitars, mandolin and percussion), Helen Coombs (keyboards), Trilby Fairfax (cello and guitar) and Peter Dellensen (flute, saxophone and concertinas).
John Bullock is no stranger to Eype but this is his first showing of the y’Strel’s Band at St. Peter’s in what is promised to be an evening of woven magic by the storytellers who will be stressing anniversaries and the beginning of May; the opening line for many local songs.
