LIVE CABARET E-mail
ImageThe Electric Palace will be opening a new series of live cabaret nights on Friday 18th April 2008 with local star Beatrix von Bourbon, a burlesque performer gaining a cult following in London’s most swinging hotspots. Beatrix, grew up in Mosterton and went to the Sir John Colfox and Beaminster combined sixth form before getting her BA in Cultural Studies at Leeds University.

She started performing burlesque striptease in April 2006 and won the Ministry of Burlesque Awards Best Newcomer Award in 2007. Her work is inspired by her love of 1940’s Hollywood glamour and she says that ‘The revealed human body is not something to be ashamed of. We all have bodies and I think that embracing one’s body and using it creatively is one of the most liberating things we can do”.

An evening of live Burlesque striptease performances (in the best possible taste) with live music and a comedian compere. Full bar with cocktails and Sputnik Vodka promotion.
