Chicken Boy from Band On (The people who put on those rocking events at Evershot village hall) has brought to my attention this ace music blog, run by a guy called Joe who's originally from Dorch it's called The White Noise Revisited.
It really is worth putting in your favourites and visiting often, Joe tells us all about it -
"Named after a Boo Radleys song, The White Noise Revisited is an mp3 blog - a labour of love from a musical obsessive and a place where I write about whatever I want, and post songs to accompany the inane ramblings. I cover everything and anything, from 1980s electro and hip hop, to shoegazing classics of the early 90s, folk, techno, obscure electronica - you name it, I've probably written about it. I only ever post one or two songs as I want to encourage anyone reading to track down and buy the music I am writing about - although often it is obscure and hard to find - there's always eBay! It's steadily grown, and I now have about 2000 visitors a day on average from all over the world, though I once had over 5000 visitors when I wrote about Abba!
I cover new music if it really grabs me, but I try and avoid competeing with all the hipster blogs who fight to be first to cover the next over-hyped scenester band. I absolutely love doing it, and get lots of great feedback from people who have stumbled upon it and like what they read and hear.
In a nutshell - visit The White Noise Revisited for a regular supply of free music to download, including nostalgic trips down memory lane and cutting edge new music, along with a peppering of exclusive tracks and even the occasional interview.
