Hundreds of revellers filled the streets of Bridport to celebrate the New Year 2008 with many sporting fancy dress costumes. The Bridport Spartans did not see their ranks swollen to expected numbers with many of their recruits defecting to Pirates (OTC). By the time the Town Hall Clock struck thirteen many partyers were pooped and were simply shouting insults to the sky from the gutter, vandalising street furniture and commiting violent acts.
