Just before the turkey gets stuffed and the relatives start arriving, we wanted to send out a big seasonal CHEERS! to all who came along, and especially to those who helped to stage the joyously shambolic romp that was the first Bridport Radio Christmas Party. During the course of the evening three new peerages were created, the woodlouse race concept was given it’s first airing and hundreds of people got to groove on down to the fab sounds of some of Bridports finest talents. Watch this space for peers portraits and inauguration speeches early in the New Year.
One guest wrote in saying... "Cracking party last night - great fun. I hope a lot of money got raised. My favourite part of the evening was Rob & Herbie assassinating Abba. There's been a lot of lionising going on about Abba in recent years, elevating what in my opinion was a well rehearsed show band with irritating catchy little tunes into some sort of god-like status. There are loads of Abba tribute bands out there camping it up and generally it's enjoyable, but no-one has ever given the Svenska superstars such a kicking!
Afterwards they told me they will never do it again but in my view they must be coerced into making it a Christmas party regular event.
Once again many thanks to you and everyone involved for putting on such a fine evening."

My thoughts turn to the next one. I'm assuming the woodlouse racing stays? What else do you want to see? Band recommendations please

We were away for this Bridport Radio Party but will make sure we get to the next one. The photos look great and it sounds like it was a lot of fun.

Ahh the first time I have been able to log on for ages and was very sad to miss the party. Sounds like a good laugh was had by all. I want a peerage but then I would have to come out of the closet to claim it, curses.
