West Dorset Fencing Club's first championships. It was quite a coup for Shirley Parker, founder of the WDFC less than a year ago, when she persuaded Allan Jay MBE, six times world champion finalist, holder of two Olympic silver medals and Vice-President of the British Fencing Association, to become Honorary President of the Club. Allan kindly donated two championship trophies and was present at Sir John Colfox School, Bridport on Thursday 12th November to present them to the winners. |

Bridport Barracudas Swimming Club is based at the Bridport Leisure Centre.
Teaching non-swimmers from the age of 4 to swim and encourage the development of good technique in a child centred environment and offer the opportunity to participate when able in House Galas, The Jurassic League, Open Meets and County Events taught by Licenced and ASA Qualified L3 Head Coach, L2 Coaches and Assistant L1 Teachers. Soccerpitch organise and run 6 a-side football leagues throughout Dorset. They are shortly to start a new 6 a-side league at Sir John Colfox School, Bridport on Monday Nights. The leagues are well run with Dorset approved referees and provide low cost football for local people with unlimited substitutes lowering the cost for teams on the night. They are currently advertising in the Bridport area both by poster and in the press, so they can attract the last few teams required to have the league start around October. The course runs for six weeks covering techniques for dealing with everyday stress. Discussing issues such as what is stress?
