Karen Hansen designs with natural form and sustainable materials to create contemporary furniture and sculptural constructions.
As part of her sculptural work she is now offering workshops in Totem pole carving. The range of courses is open to most ages and abilities. Some sessions are specifically designed for families to be able to work together on communal poles and create their family crest or celebrate a special occasion. |

Building on the success of his 'green woodworking breaks' since launching in June 2006, local green woodworker Guy Mallinson has recently moved from Mangerton House just outside Bridport to Higher Holditch Farm, near Axminster and Lyme Regis. Said Guy:
"The new venue gives me the opportunity to properly invest in my woodland workshop. I have taken a thirty year lease and am really looking forward to developing both the venue and the range of what we can offer over the coming years." |
