We are lucky enough to have the world famous Filete painter Alfredo Genovese coming to teach an 8 hour introductory painting course in 'Filete Porteno' the flamboyantly emotive Sign Art of Argentina, in our wee town of Bridders. Alfredo's work is absolutely stunning. He has worked for the likes of Coca Cola, Nike, Converse, Evian, Kimberley Clark to name but a few and has been teaching for the past 20 years where he lives and works in Buenos Aires. |

A singing group for people who can’t sing is being started by Bridport & District U3A. There are plenty of choirs and societies in West Dorset for people who can sing. But what about something for those who lack confidence or think they have a voice that could frighten horses? They’re sending out an SOS – Save Our Singing? For them, U3A’s new group will hit just the right note. |

The Bridport Prize 2010 - International Creative Writing Competition for Short Stories and Poems The Bridport Prize is the richest open writing competition in the English language -with £5,000 first prize for a short story (of up to 5000 words); and £5,000 first prize for a poem (of up to 42 lines).
