Following a sell-out Artsreach performance in February, the celebrated virtuoso duo, Chris Newman and Maire Ni Chathasaigh, return to the Artsreach circuit for two more concerts in rural Dorset this month, including one in a beautifully atmospheric church setting.
Apart from her voice, Maire is one of the most influential and original players of the Irish harp and was named Irish Traditional Musician of the year 2001. Chris Newman is an extraordinary guitarist, witty raconteur and brilliant accompanist. Together they provide a wonderfully memorable evening’s entertainment, ranging from traditional Irish and Scottish music to hot jazz, bluegrass and even Baroque, and are very audience friendly! |

Famous for its relaxed ‘old school’ festival vibe, Endorse it in Dorset returns in August for its seventh year. Following last year’s sell-out, the organisers have increased the number of tickets available to 3500, whilst being careful to retain the festival’s intimate atmosphere.
Taking place across three days and three nights from 6th–8th August near the village of Sixpenny Handley in the Dorset countryside, Endorse it in Dorset prides itself on offering its visitors musical diversity, with over seventy bands across three weather-proof stages, and good value for money – you won’t find any over-priced fizzy lager here. Ticket prices have been held as low as possible to make this an affordable festival that the whole family can go to. |

But real fans have no fear of a soaking as the group joined by O¹Hooley & Tidow launch their new album ABCDEFG. |

Potty Politicians, Loony Letters & Wonderful Wines. With a General Election just a few months away the timing for Simon Hoggart's entertaining show could not be better. Hoggart is also the author of several books including Punchlines: A crash course in English with John Prescott; The Hamster that loved Puccini and The Cat That Couldn't Open The Fridge.
