Bridport Arts Centre hosts a unique family-friendly Ball this Friday 16th May to raise funds for Bridport Community Carnival Workshops. The theme is ‘Green’ – imagine a festival in a theatre. Headlining the evening is ‘Seize The Day’ who play uplifting, joyous and heart-felt music to re-charge the soul, ably supported by the Latin-Cajun sounds of ‘Flakey Jake’ and friends.
The Martin Harley Band are playing in Bridport on the 17th of May at the Bridport Arts Centre. Their single "One for the road" is out on the 16th of June and their album "Grow Your Own" was released on the 14th of April. They have been compared to Jack Johnson, Eric Bibb etc, but the album tells a very different story!

On Saturday, May 17th at 8.00pm at the Eype Centre for the Arts - The Y’Strel’s Band - a collection of singers and musicians coming together to tell their stories in an eclectic mix of material mainly from Wessex but also from the rest of the British Isles. All vocalists, the four musicians are John Bullock (guitars, mandolin and percussion), Helen Coombs (keyboards), Trilby Fairfax (cello and guitar) and Peter Dellensen (flute, saxophone and concertinas).
