Mireille Mathleners songs have a real narrative quality and alternate between being melancholy and quirky. Her lyrics are written around themes of powerstruggle, loss, denial and hope. Vocally, Mireille has been compared to artists such as Aimee Mann, Chrissie Hynde and even Neil Young.
The bells of St Mary's in South Street are a complete eight by Mears of 1924, replacing a Warner eight of 1887. It is said that they were one of the last old style rings to be cast - Mears moved to true-harmonic tuning in 1926.
Rob is a singer songwriter originally from Bridport and now residing in Bristol. All instruments you hear on this track are played by Rob, he was an accomplished piano and trumpet player when studying at Colfox and has continued to expand his repertoire ever since.
Far Cue are living proof that punk's not dead, 3,000mph drums and singing from Badger, with Steve and Guy axing it with gusto makes this simple combination a force of nature. These guys will pack any boozer with pogo-ing nutters and will shake the plaster off the ceiling with a high octane blast blast of proper punk.
