In the local rag recently it was announced that it was unlikely that a slip-road will be made at the junction on the A35 at Eype, on the "bypass", which I'm sure most would agree is BAD NEWS!
It’s Bridport Town Council who’ve kicked parking into touch ……..
It’s recently come to light that it is Bridport Town Council, and not the District Council, who is to blame for rejecting the opportunity of extra car parking in the town centre. It seems that the often used excuse by the town council of things being decided by the District Council just doesn’t hold up to the facts of this matter.
Following a recent price increase "in-line" with this year's budget, there are rumblings of a further hike in beer prices to kick in just before the summer. Yes, Palmers have done it again, and it won't be long before you don't get much change from a tenner after buying a couple of pints.
There seems to be some confusion as to when these new recycling boxes and bags should be put out and frankly it's no wonder the pamphlets issued with these items were unclear to say the least and were the first things I put in my waste paper bag. Well those of us online can just go to the WDDC website and find out, spread the word.

Victoria Grove speed limit campaigner Maureen Hymas has asked Bridport Town Council to back a speed limit of 20mph along Victoria Grove after a pet cat was killed!

She said: "Yet another pet cat has died a slow and painful death and one can only assume from his condition that this was the result of careless and callous driving. "It is only a cat you may think but next time it could be a child, it could be you, me or indeed anyone if something isn't done."
