The Jurassic Classic is a sponsored bike ride on 18th May in aid of local childrens' charity Life Education Dorset, with the option of either a 50 mile or a challenging 100 mile ride on circular routes from Wareham. The ride is being organised for Life Education by Bike Events and so will be fully signed and will have all the back up on the day that you would expect from a major event organiser.
Farrar-Hockley, Catherine. 2 September 1972-30 April 2008. Our beautiful Catherine passed away peacefully with her family at her side, having been wonderfully cared for by the staff at Dorset County Hospital. Katie was very much loved and will be sadly missed by all. Funeral will be held at Holy Trinity, Bothenhampton, on May 12th at 2.00 pm, followed by private cremation. Family flowers only, donations at A.J. Wakely and Sons for the Dorset Air Ambulance and the Fire Service National Benevolent Fund.
Concerned Bridport traders host emergency public forum about the town’s future
A number of businesses, artists and influential figures from Bridport are hosting an Open Day at the Bridport Arts Centre from 11am to 4pm on Saturday 3rd May, in an attempt to increase public awareness of development proposals for a key historical business estate in the heart of the town. They also hope to persuade the West Dorset District Council to hold a full public consultation.
Rehab? well does it exist? It's sung about, talked about, written about and joked about, but does it actually exist as an option in this town? My experience is that it's thin on the ground as an option for drug takers who are sick of if all and want to get out of the spiral of despair. An option for the Amy Winehouse, Pete Doc, etc but they pay, and its good for business in the press clipping department

German supermarket giants Lidl have recently unveiled plans for a new superstore in St Andrews road near Travis Perkins the deal will allow Travis Perkins to replace their headquarters (Part of the old railway station) with new buildings and trade counter outlet.
