The Destroyers playing this Saturday 1st August 2009 at Evershot Village Hall. The Destroyers are an outstanding 15 piece musical whirlwind of instrumentalists, vocalists and composers, specialising in turbo-folk mélanges of Gypsy, Balkan, Klesmer and beat poetry mixed in with some punk & ska. They put on a riotous uplifting show, and get audiences really jumping around! Don't miss them.

Spend the day making games played by the Vikings.  Woodworker Karen Hansen will show you how to cut and carve wood to make the outdoor throwing game of Kings, whittle figures for the tactical game of Hnefatafl or develop your own game of cunning to take home.  You will be shown how to use knives and gauges, saws and mallets (Karen is very hot on health & safety!).  Wear loose clothing and remember a packed lunch.
