Bad Manners at the Electric Palace at 8pm on Saturday 12th July '08. The fantastic 2Tone Ska revival band fronted by outlandish huge-tongued and shaven-headed Buster Bloodvessel. They were at their most popular during the late 1970s and early 1980s, during a period when other ska revival bands, such as Madness and The Specials and The Selecter, filled the charts. Bad Manners spent 111 weeks in the British singles charts between 1980 and 1983. |

Internationally acclaimed musician, record producer and master tabla player TALVIN SINGH graces the stage of Bridport’s Electric Palace on Friday 11th July, courtesy of Cool Assassin Promotions.
Talvin Singh has been a big name on the UK’s modern music scene since the 1980s, first gaining recognition as an accomplished tabla player, having travelled to India to study with a tabla master. He was at the forefront of the Asian underground music scene, and has worked on many pioneering collaborations across musical genres with other artists such as Madonna, Bjork, Blondie, Siouxie and the Banshees, DJ Spooky, Dreadzone, Jay Z and Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. |
