Who's Afear'd our favourite, most hilarious, rollicking sound of Dorset are playing at the Oddfellows Arms this Saturday 31st May, starting at 8.30pm. Touted by the Western Gazette as "A must see for lovers of tuneless drivel" This will be a ***t kicking gig to remember (unless you suffer from alcoholic amnesia) and it's free.

UK’s largest open art studios exhibition returns for 2008
More than 800  artists will be throwing open their doors to the public as Dorset Art Weeks, the UK’s largest free festival of visual art, gets set to return between 24th May – 8th June 2008.

Located across the stunning Dorset countryside and coastline, the free open studio event offers visitors a unique opportunity to meet, view, buy or commission something special from artists 

The nationally renowned St Michael's Studio complex in Bridport, Dorset, is holding an Open Evening at the start of Dorset Art Weeks, on Saturday 24th May, from 7-9pm.

Crimes of note recently reported include

• Overnight Sunday May 11th a Mercedes was broken into and items stolen from within whilst it was parked in South Street.

• In the early hours of Saturday May 10th criminal damage occurred in West Street and South Street [See below].
