Bridport celebrates the life of local artist ‘Fra’ Newberry
Bridport has recently recieved a grant of £44,000 to celebrate the life of Fra Newberry. There will be an open Meeting at Bridport Town Hall on Wednesday 26 September from 5.30pm – 7.30pm.  This will be an opportunity to find out more about the project; the Trail and the exhibitions and events that will be included.  As well as general supporters we are looking for all sorts of expertise, help and assistance across a variety of areas, for example:

TONIGHT - A GIG WITH A TWIST
Sweet FA Productions second event of 2007 will open the Lyme Regis ArtsFest on 22 September with two acclaimed artists from the Freshly Squeezed Music record label. The gig at the Marine Theatre will feature a live set from The Voodoo Trombone Quartet and support from the talented music producer and DJ, Lemon.

On Sep 16th West Bay was visited by Counter Currents (Part of the Inside Out Festival which culminates with 'Enclosure' this weekend 23/9) an international theatre group Street dancing, acrobatics and general mayhem at the bay.

Some bloke was on the end of the pier where he had made himself a little island scenario And was carrying right on. only the front 20 people could see anything though. kids had no chance.

West Bay on Sunday 16 September from 1 to 6pm. In the Big Top Tent a plethora of local musicians and DJ's also featuring aerial artists, ropewalkers, dancers and even performance hairdressers!
