This was not only raise issues concerning statutory organisations there to help you, thus allowing the relevant agencies to be involved and allow the panel to work together to improve the quality of life for residents.

The next date for the Partners and Community Together [P.A.C.T] meeting will take place at 7.30pm Thursday 13th March 2008 in the marriage room at Mountfield in Bridport. This again will be an opportunity for the Bridport community to raise issues of concern within the town and vote for the priorities to be tackled by the relevant lead agency.

The issues raised previously...

• Parking / traffic management in Victoria Grove
• Underage drinking / responsible drinking
• Feasibility of CCTV in the area of St Michael’s Lane

Community minded people needed.

Also during the day colleagues from the Special constabulary were there to actively recruit volunteers from the community.

The Special Constabulary are volunteers from the community who give up a little time and put it back in the community.

These volunteers are an integral part of the wider policing community who care about the town and the people they help.

If you up to and want a new and interesting challenge and are interested in becoming a Special Constable, then come along to the station to pick up some information or log onto the Dorset Police website below;
