MILLENNIUM GREEN E-mail

ImageDue to inclement weather, the Friends of Bridport Millennium Green May Fair had to be postponed and has been replaced by a sale of various items in a Bric-a-Brac stall, 'green' items, and more than that, Dorset Cream Teas will be served. They will also be selling "Bridport Millennium Green" MikkiMugs and breakfast trays.
It's 2.00pm until 5.00pm in The Salt House at West Bay. Sunday 8th July.
Funds will go to the upkeep of the "Millennium Green" and its raised flower beds at Mountfield.
Anyone can check out the new Millennium Green website - this also gives a map as to where to find the Green and raised beds. There must be a lot of people that don't know it exists?

It will be greatly appreciated, I'm sure, by those "Friends of Bridport Millennium Green" that are trying to keep an area in the centre of town for various (outside) events, for which there is no charge, but a donation toward funds is welcome.

FOOD FEST PICS E-mail
ImageDespite the wet and miserable weather this weekend the 2007 Bridport Food Festival at Asker Meadows drew large crowds tempted by delicious delicacies from around the region and a tent full of beer and cider. There were also cookery demonstrations and displays. This reporter came home with a Round Table half pint mug (empty) lots of free samples (eaten), Two crab cakes from Moonfleet Hotels stand, a bottle of Bridge Farm cider and a small graze from slipping over in the mud.
