BIKE DISPLAY E-mail

ImageThis Saturday 21st July in Bucky Doo Square there is a display of motorcycles to raise money for the Riverside Day Care Centre (for senior citizens). The centre staff & clients do all the hard work in making cakes, running tombolas, plant stalls etc and we sit by our bikes looking pretty, last year we raised about £1200. The money goes towards day trips, entertainers, Christmas dinner etc., making their lives a lot more fulfilling.

The fishing area will be Portland to Beer Head and out as far as you
like between these two points. For more information see www.westbaysac.co.uk

SCULPTURE ON THE BEACH E-mail

ImageSunday 29 July 10am - 3pm at Eype Beach. You just need to register, grab a flag and sculpt what you like from the things you find on the beach – stones, seaweed, driftwood, pebbles, in fact anything that can be washed back into the sea. There are cash prizes to be won, but the emphasis is on fun for everyone.  If you don’t want to sculpt, why not come along towards the end of the day, take a stroll along the shore, and see the work?
