Other crimes have been reported over the same period. To protect the wishes of the victims, and not prejudice any ongoing investigations these will not be reported.

Road Traffic Collision

A road traffic accident occurred in the car park of Groves Nurseries, West Bay Road, where a vehicle was struck. The offending vehicle left but a member of the public who left the details of the offending vehicle on the damaged one witnessed this. This occurred some when between 2pm –3pm on Sunday 15th April. Can I request witnesses to this accident and in particular the person who provided the offenders details to make contact with Sgt 1627 Hughes at Bridport.

Arrests

Over the same period 9 arrests were made:

1x Criminal damage
2x Theft
2x Assault actual bodily
1x Causing an affray
1x Positive breath test [drink driving]
1x Making threats to kill
1x Discharging an air weapon in a public place

If you have any information regarding the above offences or any other crimes, then please come forward and help us with our enquiries:  it may be your evidence, which successfully secures a conviction.  Instead of accepting that crime is part of the Bridport society, let’s give the courts the facts and allow them to decide.

Contact the police station direct, or speak to Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111 – all calls will be treated in confidence.
