Results 26 - 32 of 32

I've unpublished the poll as I've now established who it was wearing the tartan trousers and that he did not harangue Real world at the food festi, although he's obviously ticked him off at some point.

well i am flattered (ss 23) in a sort of perverse way i guess. I too have a mental image of all of you, and a vague idea who some of you are too. has anyone answered one of these personal ads? I did once a few years ago. Did it on a whim, after too much to drink..left my number (bitterly regretting it the next morning) However.. i met the person (in the George) and we had a few other meetings.. sort of fizzled out... But I would recommend the experience, it was strange, and slightly exhilarating....i think better to be the chooser than the chosen though. my pic/ primitive naive school i think? and your pics/ probably a Hieronymus Bosch would be a good likeness of some of you?

Where has the abuse a member link gone?? Get it sorted Ed you loafer. As I can’t find the thread here will have to do, lets face it realworld is yesterday’s man and good riddance to the ponce. Has anyone else read the article of spirit combat?? Unless I have this wrong it is a combination of Philosophy, Yoga, meditation, getting in harmony with the world and environment and then kicking the shite out of somebody. Is someone ""avin a laaarf""? Secondly and probably more importantly, what has it got to do with Bridport? did it say in the article we are to become the new world centre for this ancient (well nearly 10 years old) way of learning to punch and kick people.

Try using the search facility or look on the ""...and another thing"" menu item. BTW Realworlds last log in was two days ago... and Spirit Combat are BridportRadios friends. So there_Ed

The thing I like about you Realworld is that you really tweak my pity glands. Just when Bridport Radio settles into a happy consensus along you come with your standpoint of plain wrongness and argue so persuasively from it. A man after my own heart, but wrong nonetheless.

To use your own opinions as a start point in your “talking cure”.

New blood has always been welcomed in Bridport, I'm some of it and have gradually become woven into the curvy bits of Bridport's rich tapestry. All that guff you’ve written, though eloquent, is well.... Wrong.

You don't have to live in suburbs and travel 1 1/2 to work, you choose to. Seems like a wrong choice to me. Change it for something better and you might just be a little less convinced that it’s a sane perspective to write from.

Without second home owners, more people would live, work, shop and contribute here. Cash cow versus stray dog.

Without tourists it wouldn’t be Bridport. Free entertainment, lots of daytime disposable cash and back to their own reservations for night-time drinking. Lovely.

The truth is H-FW let the cat out of the bag, upset the apple-cart and pimped out the profile of a self-propelling region for personal gain. We’re not in a hurry! If we could be bothered to form a movement it’s battle cry would be: “ What do want?! - Gradual change! - When do we want it?! - In due course.” Haven’t you twigged yet? Modern life is rubbish.

Hugh’s television success has inevitably attracted people who watch too much TV.

Instead of sniping and complaining encourage the young to squat the empty properties and second homes, you can bet the provision of affordable housing would shoot up the agenda – and just imagine the parties we could have ;-).

Look at St Ives...Why? I like it here.

The town is a prosperous and energetic place, it just does it slowly. You should try living here, you probably be in less of hurry to mess it all up with improvements.

Look forward to more entertaining wrong from your moist keyboard at a future date. I’ll be thinking of your 1 1/2 hour commute during my leisurely breakfast and bath time coffee.
