Ro:toro play traditional Estonian melodies, with a piper, an improvising saxophonist, an electric guitarist and a quirky percussionist who uses plastic bowls on a bed of water, bicycle wheels and scraps of tin foil to create his rhythms! |

The three-day event due to be held in September aims to be the world¹s biggest celebration of headwear and millinery. Apparently the plans regarding the redevelopment of the South West Quadrant have been 'THROWN OUT', at a meeting in West Bay yesterday (27/1/10) at 4.00pm! Yep, it aint gonna happen - ever! "Legal reasons..." was the quote I was given. So it seems the artists, the Trick Factory and many other small businesses will survive (for now). But the land owner allegedly reacted angrily to the news and has pledged to put up rents (constructive eviction). |

Local boy Toby Burnham (now living in Lun-dun) has stupidly agreed to join ex-England Rugby Captain Lawrence Dallaglio’s “Cycle Slam” project, raising money for both Sport Relief, and the Lawrence Dallaglio Foundation, which gives money to Help for Heroes, and Cancer Research amongst others. |

The Trick Factory an indoor BMX bike and skateboard facility located in the St Michaels Trading Estate in Bridport is under threat of closure because of a the planning bid to develop the South West Quadrant, this will also force several other businesses and many artist studios to close or relocate. |
